Starting with humble beginnings in Edinburgh, our initial focus was on rug cleaning and restoration. Building on that foundation, we became the first British family to vertically integrate into the Oriental rug industry, initially selling to the trade and then to private clients. We recognised that many smaller retail outlets acted as core distributors, so we created a UK-wide business capable of offering an unrivalled collection of fine Oriental rugs across both the trade and private sectors. Our Edinburgh location served as a small distribution centre, complementing a large warehouse facility in London. This centralised London warehouse was a first of its kind in the UK rug industry, providing buyers with the unique opportunity to view an extensive global collection of Oriental rugs on a large scale.
